Dennis loved the outside working on his cars and bikes. He loved playing guitar. But, his true love was riding his motorcycle scooter. It gave him so much joy to ride around the town. He loved to talk to anyone about his bike and wished he had started driving sooner, but we would always say "Better late than never."
He would come home with a smile on his face and talk about his day. He would always call Don and tell him about his day and what went on, and if Don didn't hear from him, he would call Dennis. His sisters Wanda and Kim were also part of these calls. And of course, Darlene heard it all too. He had so many plans, but his life was cut short tragically.
He is now riding his bike with his beloved Boots by his side, chasing the sunset.
Arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation will take place at Maher's Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23rd from 2:00pm to 9:00pm.
Don’t cry for me, I still ride free,
with the wind upon my face,
leather in black, the sun on my back,
a priceless gift of God’s grace.
I’ll never grow old, on these streets of gold,
chasing a majestic sunset,
and I still recall, how I love you all,
sweet memories I won’t forget.
And when your road ends, we’ll meet again,
inside the Pearly Gates,
and we’ll laugh awhile and go ride for miles,
but for now, Heaven can wait.
When you do get here, don’t shed one tear,
and think that I’m in hiding,
just search Heaven’s shore, where engines roar,
and you’ll find that I’ve gone riding.
