Anthony W. Meade
February 19, 1958 – October 23, 2023
Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Placentia Health Centre, Anthony (Tony) Meade of Ship Harbour, at the age of 65.
Predeceased by parents Stephen and Elizabeth Meade, brother John, and in-laws Elizabeth Sullivan and George Sheeves.
Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 40 years, Debbie; daughter Jenille (Dominic) and son Tony (Candace); grandchildren Noah, Ayden, Lily, Harper and Blake; his brothers Edward (Bridget), Albert (Marion), Andrew (Imelda), best friend and other half Gerard (Marie), and Dan (Geraldine); his sisters Theresa (Charles), Helen (Kevin, deceased), Magdalen (Ray), Mary (Paul), Madonna (Edward), Veronica (Greg), Pauline (Bill), Lucy (Jerome), and Stephanie (Randy); sister-in-law Doris Meade; and a large circle of family and friends.
Special thanks to Natasha and Daniele for everything they did for Dad.
Tony was a very dependable, generous, loving man who would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved his family most of all. He loved having get-togethers, music and a game of scat.
Visitation took place at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia, on Friday, October 27th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.
A Graveside Celebration of Life will take place 12:00pm on Saturday, June 8th at Ship Harbour Cemetery, Ship Harbour.
