Eric Dohey, age 67, a gentle soul who loved to laugh, tell
stories, and reminisce of the days gone by, passed away
peacefully at the Placentia Lions Manor Nursing Home. Thanks to the
staff at the Placentia Lions Manor Nursing Home, and thanks
for the compassionate home care of John and Mike Seymour, who
cared for Eric for many years.
Eric is predeceased by his parents Loretta (Nash) and Clem
Dohey, his brothers Billy and Larry Dohey, and his sister-in-law
Pauline Broderick. He is remembered by those left with broken hearts
and more happy memories than one lifetime should be able to hold,
including his sisters and brothers: Eta Nash (Anthony), George
(Patricia), Frances Mills (Fred), Pat, Father Wayne, Doreen Traverse
(Dominic), Jean Dohey, Sandra Manning (Fabian), Orinda Careen (Jerry)
and Marie Mackenzie (Lloyd), brother-in-law Ian Martin; wonderful and
much loved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and a large
circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bride’s on
Monday, April 24 from 7-9pm, and Tuesday, April 25 from 10am
– 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Sacred Heart
Parish, St. Bride’s, on Wednesday, April 26 at 11:00 am. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Parish in
Eric’s memory.
